Chloe Mini Me

By stripping the human face into components of shapes, the artist has created a different way of viewing the highlights and shadows that curve around the features. The striking eyes stare back at the viewer, challenging their perception. This ‘mini me’ version of Chloe further simplifies these shapes to bring them into a new medium.

Studio Christmas Window

Date: December 2022
Size: 67 x 42 inches
Medium: Paint pen

Studio Christmas Window

This Christmas window was inspired by hanging baubles ad the decorations traditionally surrounding Christmas. The baubles were filled with patterns to make a bigger impact on the window, as well as to make it more visually striking from the outside. With this being a first floor window, it was easier to complete this drawing on the inside of the window.

Ask Italian Christmas Window, Oxford

Ask Italian created an open call for window artists to create their Christmas displays. Using previous Christmas line drawings from the Lined Collection, and Ask Italian Christmas motifs, the three and a half pane drawing was created. The drawing encompassed the whole of the front window on the busy George Street, Oxford. A design was also added to the fire escape and front door.

Self Face

Date: July 2022
Size: 4 x 6 inches
Medium: Coloured pencil and paint pen

Self Face

This piece is an original self portrait combining six coloured pencils and a paint pen outline. An increased amount of time was spent on planning this piece due to the few colours that were being used, and the avoidance of putting the same colour blocks next to each other. The use of two darker colours allows for the suggestion for shadow and hair. The outline helps to define the shapes and contours of the portrait, as well as separating the colours further.
