The White Horse Bookshop in Marlborough opens their gallery to members of the art community each year for their open exhibition. All artworks are accepted into the exhibition, as long as their artwork does not exceed the sizing. Amateurs can display their artwork alongside professional artists, and all artworks have the opportunity of being sold.
I displayed one of the configuration series, created during the year long project where I aimed to create a piece of artwork every single day for 365 days. This piece is a water colour paint and fine liner pen piece that explores shape and layering on the confines of a page. The softness of the piece complemented the space well, and has already made me consider what I will put forward to display in the next annual open exhibition.
